Nia combines dance, martial arts, and mindful movement to leave you energized, mentally clear, and emotionally balanced. Nia is non-impact and adaptable to individual needs and abilities. Each class starts with setting a focus. We will then warm up, dance our hearts out, and cool down, followed by stepping back out into daily life.
Anna Fiedler is a certified Nia blue belt teacher who has taught Nia since 2007. She enjoys creating space for others to connect together to tap into their power and well-being through movement.
Looking for a great, handmade gift to give or just something to keep for yourself? Learn how to make handmade lotions and sugar/ salt scrubs for a fraction of the cost of what you would pay in the store. Each participant will create a personalized salt scrub, a sugar scrub and a 12-14 oz. bottle of lotion.
Each participant should bring 2 eight ounce jars and 1 sixteen ounce jar for their creations. Instructor will supply all ingredients for the lotions and scrubs, including scents and add-ins.
Heather Emerson is a co-owner of Emerson Homestead in Waldoboro, and has a menagerie of goats and poultry. Emerson Homestead makes and sells handcrafted soaps, lotions, scrubs and soy candles, as well as a number of home decorative items.

In this make and take class, participants will learn how to make 4 different cleaners that work great but are made with everyday ingredients right from the pantry. Instructor will provide all materials and take home containers.
This is a ten lesson series, with each lesson 15-20 minutes. Self-led online learning through interactive videos, print lessons and worksheets. Participants learn about healthy eating (MyPlate), family meal planning, budgeting at the store and food safety. Graduation certificates and a recipe book are emailed upon completion.
