Instinctive Archery

Take up a bow and arrows for a wonderful opportunity to try the sport of Instinctive Archery. Instinctive Archery is shooting while focusing solely on the target as opposed to using a sight. Since Instinctive Archery requires creating “muscle memory” the class meets twice a week to maximize progress. Participants can bring their own bows and arrows (no broadheads) or may work with the bows we will provide to learn new skills or re-gain and improve their skills. Hunters are welcome but this class is really aimed at anyone who wants to learn (or re-learn) a sport that can be practiced throughout your life. Kids ages 12+ are encouraged to enroll. Mike Stenstrom is a science teacher at Great Salt Bay school. He has been practicing Instinctive Archery for 29 years and has taught it for 4 years. He is an avid hunter and uses his archery skills for bow hunting.
